Billing Information

  • The SAA bills monthly for water and/or sewage service.
  • Rates are $11.50 per 1000 gallons of water and $13.50 per 1000 gallons of sewage with a 2000-gallon minimum.
  • The charge for application for service is $25.00.
  • Application for service and termination of service can be made over the phone or in person.
  • Our billing cycle ends at the 15th of each month.
  • Payment is due, in full, each month by the 20th. There is a 10% penalty on any current charges paid after the 20th. 1.5% interest charges will be assessed to any late charges over 60 days.
  • Payment may be made in check, cash or money order, payable to Saxonburg Area Authority.
  • You can make payments at our drop off box at the Borough Building in Saxonburg or by mail at 420 West Main Street, Saxonburg, PA 16056. Mail needs to be in the office by the 20th to be considered “on time.”
  • All commercial account information is available from the Engineer

ADVISORY NOTIFICATION TO USERS OF REMOTE WATER METERS

Please be advised that you should check the correlation between the meter readings of your actual water meter (located inside your house/apartment) and your remote meter on the outside of the building. These two meters should read the same numbers. Remote meters can malfunction and indicate a lower than actual water usage. Such shortages can accumulate over an extended period of time resulting in an unexpected large bill when the error is finally detected and corrected. Corrections would only occur under these conditions when the remote meter ceases to function, or when you sell your home and ask for a final meter reading.

If you have any problems with your remote meter, immediately call the Saxonburg Area Authority Office at 724-352-1400 ext. 226. The remote will be promptly repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
